rhodes are a 4-piece rock band from the south side of Edmonton. Their music blends a variety of sounds reminiscent to 90’s Brit-Rock and Alternative, which results in driving modern rock anthems with a melodic core. Formed in 2008 by two brothers and two friends, they simply love to make music – “for ourselves, for our fans, and for as many people as possible”.

In late 2008 the band recorded and released a self titled EP, which with moderate success opened their eyes to a world of creative potential. After dozens of live gigs in support of the EP a loyal fan base began to solidify; that continuously seems to grow with every venture they take on. Naturally by the end of 2009 they had a set of new material ready for recording. After a chance meeting with local producer Stew Kirkwood at a late night basement jam session, and after a few short follow up conversations, they knew they had found the person that would share the vision and capture the sound for the bands first LP, titled The Outfit.

The Outfit was released in December 2010, and to the band “is a giant step forward for us musically”. The album offers a wide range of material from start to finish, which in itself sets it apart from the average rock album today.

The passion they have for their music is very evident, “we are strong believers in continuously improving and challenging ourselves when creating new music; we are eagerly looking onto the horizon.” While weaving their way into the Edmonton music scene and expanding their following, it is only a matter of time.
