Brenda Dirk

Brenda Dirk grew up in the small town of Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada.

Growing up, Brenda was always inspired by music, she loved to dance and sing. She loved to write random lyrics on the spot – she was especially inspired when she saw her dad and grandpa pick up a guitar, or an accordion, and play.

Living on an acreage on the outskirts of Edmonton, and being the youngest of three in the family, she knew her work was cut out for her to make her mark. By grade eight she decided it was her turn to pick up the guitar. Her favourite class in school was Rock 'n Pop where you had to put together a band so you could perform at random events. It was there she found out that she could touch people with her music. This inspired her to write her own songs and gave her the desire to be a performer!

Her love of the country and horses propelled her to volunteering and fundraising for Horse Sense Training and Petting Zoo. There she assisted children with disabilities to ride helping them enjoy a chance to feel a sense of "freedom and control". She's also an advocate and volunteer at Off the Track, a business that places thoroughbreds in homes instead of slaughterhouses. "I want to help raise money to find them homes so they can have a second chance at normal life." says Brenda.

Brenda loves singing, writing and performing country music. Her style evokes a Rockier edge to her song writing, where she uses a strong sense of conviction to tell a story in each one of her songs. For the past year, Brenda has worked tirelessly on her debut album with Producer Bobby Cameron and is extremely excited about her musical future with the release of her anticipated first album.

Brenda's powerful vocals and her "edgy country rock" song writing style combination, places her in a unique category that will take you through an unforgettable feeling experience.
