Ashley Theberge

Ashley Thberge is a Canadian singer/songwriter that immediately pulls listeners in with her intoxicatingly smooth soprano voice and catchy upbeat melodies.Infectious toe-tapping tunes with warmth that radiates through every beat characterize this songstress. Her debut album features songs like Ba Doo Day and Iron and Wine, which display thought provoking lyrics and delightful melodies reminiscent of Fiona Apple, Joni Mitchell and Regina Spector. Her quirky, folksy pop music is influenced by her jazz and classical background, honed for years in her hometown of Edmonton, Alberta. She has attended both Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), in the UK. She has earned an Honors Degree in Performing Arts, with a double major of song writing and performance. Ashley was selected to perform in the Bedford Showcase in London in the fall of 2008. She also performed in the Sound City Festival, Liverpool Music Week and The 3rd Degree Festival in the Paul McCartney Auditorium in May 2009. The title track of her debut album, Ba Doo Day, was selected for the iTunes released The Best of the 3rd Degree Festival. Tie Up Your Shoes was chosen for the latest “Song Link†album in the UK. The LIPA institute awarded Ashley Theberge the “Graduate Song Link Award†for her contribution to this release. She finished her academic career at LIPA with a private songwriting lesson with the illustrious Sir Paul McCartney. Ashley has been featured on CBC Radio One as well as CTV News in Edmonton, Alberta. April Smith is a singer songwriter based in Edmonton, Alberta. She started learning how to play the piano at a young age, and started writing songs not long after. April has continued her musical education by recently taking up the guitar and mandolin. Raised listening to folk artists, such as Stan Rogers and Joni Mitchell, folk music continues to have strong influence over April's unique blend of folk and pop.
