The Autumn Portrait

There’s something new coming out of Vancouver. Something that hasn’t been done before. And it’s about time. Introducing: The Autumn Portrait. What do they sound like? Energetic, toe-tapping indie rock that gets people dancing! Being compared to the likes of Radiohead, Kings of Leon, and Muse, The Autumn Portrait captures that huge band sound with only 3 members. Creative mind Freddie Mojallal on vocals and guitar, Dyllon Mitchell on bass and Sean Lavoy on drums, this solid 3 piece has an unforgettable live show that has leaves crowds speechless & highly impressed every time they perform on stage.

The Autumn Portrait most recently finished recording their anticipated debut full length album “The Design Is Over” with producer Tom Dobrzanski (Said the Whale, We Are The City, The Zolas).

“We want to break down the wall between musicians and the fans. It is OUR music to enjoy together. If we share what’s in our hearts, the rest is easy” Freddie says about their music.

In late 2009, The Autumn Portrait released their first EP, “The Light.” During this time Freddie performed around Vancouver as both a solo act and with a band while gaining an increasingly strong fan base. Highlights include CiTR, CJSF & CBC3 radio and being featured during the 2010 Olympics with Chapters Indigo. Giving back and making music to bring people closer together is important to The Autumn Portrait. Showcased at WAR CHILD CANADA, “Busking for Change” in Dec ’09 to raise money for war affected children; and Jan ’10 & April ‘10 (hosted by 100.5FM The Peak) raised funds & performed at benefit concerts for Red Cross & Haiti earthquake relief efforts.
