Alex has been playing music for a few years in Edmonton, and before that he played lead guitar in a few bands in Calgary. His genre is acoustic folk/roots music, both as a solo act and with friends. He is highly regarded as a singer-songwriter, and is the host of a weekly open stage on Wednesday nights in Edmonton. At Winterfest 2012 he will be performing with the talented banjo picker, Sheila Hallett, a long-time member/volunteer of Northern Bluegrass Circle. Alex and Sheila currently play in the bluegrass group known as Prairie Sky.
