Andre Leroux

His career really began in the mid 80s. He played in several well-known ensembles, including the Vic Vogel big band where he was renamed "The Kid" by the Maestro. In 1986, he toured with the quartet of saxophones in Montreal under the auspices of Jeunesses Musicales of Canada . In 1987, when the first French Music Competition in Montreal, he won the award as a soloist Area French.

Since then, many collaborations have taken him around the world including China, Sweden, France and Africa.

Now considered one of our best Canadian saxophonist André Leroux has first been influenced by greats such John Coltrane and Rollins Sony but he quickly managed to invent their own game and create his sound identity. A qualified sound raw, hot, sharp and explosive, Andre Leroux has mastered the art of exploring all facets of his instrument.
