Marc Beaudin

Originally from Sept-Iles in Quebec, Marc Beaudin has been part of Alberta's vibrant music scene for a few years now.

A full-time professional musician, he is the driving force behind Edmonton's All-Stars party band, The Retrofitz & The Lean Machine. As a freelancer player, Marc also perform regularly at Sabor Divino Restaurant.

Playing bass or guitar, Marc worked with one of Canada's best known singers, Alfie Zappacosta. He also shared the stage with Maria Schneider, Hugh Fraser, Mike Herriott, Tommy Banks and Chucho Valdez. His latest CD "An evening at Sabor" recorded in only three days, features his trio: Luis Tovar - Percussion, Mike Lent - Acoustic bass and Marc playing nylon string guitar. A mixture of bazilian jazz and flamenco improvisation, "An evening at Sabor" includes compositions such as: Café Maracuja, Rose Sauvage, Tango Divino, Dona Irene, Naked, Malaga & Redemption.

Compositions and musical arrangements of his have been recorded by Canadian artists such as Sandro Dominelli (Meet me in the Alley, Alvo Sessions), Don Berner (Fortress of Solitude, Don Berner Sextet Live), Ronald Tremblay, Guy Hébert, Marc-André Letourneux to named a few.

Marc Beaudin is also involved in Edmonton's musical community by being the new musical director of a 19-musicians ensemble named the Gateway Big Band.
