Tyrant is a metal act from Gibbons, Alberta, started by Marshall, Cody, and Chase. Shortly after they added Brett and Mitchell to become the current five piece lineup.

Some of Tyrants large achievements would consist of Playing with international touring bands such as: A Perfect Circle, Three Days Grace, Seether, Five Finger Death Punch, Sublime, CCR, Trooper and many more. They won nationals for Rogers Wireless Battle of The bands (Canada) Tyrant also co-headlined Metalfest 2011 with All Else Fails.

Tyrant has also made many friends in the indie scene such as, All Else Fails, Versus The Nothing, These Colours Don't Run, Silent Line, Alkatine, Black Collar, Kingdom of Ravens, Naked Beauty and many many more.
