Concealer

Heavy Dance-Pop Gothic Psychedelia for the nouveau horticultural generation.

Miss Mannered. Waste-case DJ. Completely flash. Enjoys gardening, barbequing shrimp, and picking up straight men. Keyboards, tambourine. Blanche de Chambly. Black.

Mark Davis. Former alt-country pioneer. A mix of sun and cloud. Enjoys gardening, chihuahuas, and picking up married women. Bass, tambourine, drum machine wrangler, persiflage. Lagavulin. Blue.

Acetone Rhythm Ace. Unsung hero. Always on time. Indifferent. Enjoys rock and roll, swing, and picking up dust. Teetotaller. Drums. Brown.

"The other jaw-dropping show over the weekend was Concealer - Old Reliable's Mark Davis and the saucy Miss Mannered squirming on a stack of keyboards. Playing at the Empress, the two reminded loads of us of Joy Division to the point of making us dance about it. Edmonton has yet another freaky-good band, it seems, with Davis' familiar vocals suddenly flung into a creepy nightmare of haze and sorrow, effective under dim lighting. Ensure you see them soon."
