Guillaume Tardif is a violin soloist who has collaborated with ensembles and distinguished artists in Canada, Europe, Asia and South America.

He performs as first violin with the Enterprise Quartet, a University of Alberta-based ensemble that performs free, high-quality chamber music concerts showcasing Edmonton’s own wealth of talent, featuring players from the University of Alberta Department of Music and the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. His tremendous contributions to Edmonton’s arts community were recognized when he was named one of Avenue Magazine’s Top 40 under 40 in 2012.

Author of a number of violin arrangements, cadenzas and exercises, Guillaume Tardif’s research explores various aspects of the violin’s rich history and often features new or neglected works, such as Gallois-Montbrun’s accompanied version of Paganini’s 24 Caprices, which he presented with pianist Roger Admiral at Carnegie Hall in 2011.

Tardif is regularly invited to adjudicate and teach master classes at many universities internationally, including Innsbruck, Bergen, Stockholm, Budapest Liszt Academy, Zhejiang University and Hong Kong Academy, and recently joined the faculties of international summer programs at Völs am Schlern, Italy and Beverly Hills, California.
