"... talent beyond belief... "

In November of 2006, Samantha was the youngest nominee in the "Young Performer of the Year" category for the Canadian Folk Music Awards. In July of 2006, she was a featured performer at The Vancouver Island Musicfest where she got to share stages with the likes of Po' Girl, Alexis Puentes, Peter Yarrow, Joel Fafard and Geoff Berner. She also performed at South Country Fair. In 2005, she was invited to play as a Tweener on the Main Stage at the Edmonton Folk Music Festival. She's had many opportunities to perform at different venues such as the Family Stage at Big Valley Jamboree, the Full Moon Folk Club, The Blue Chair Cafe, and the Northern Lights Folk Club in Edmonton and the Nickelodeon Music Club in Calgary. Samantha adds to her credits opening for such artists as Ruthie Foster, Kyle Riabko, Lynn Miles, Gaye Delorme, Doug Cox & Sam Hurrie, Karla Anderson and Cindy Church to critical acclaim.

Samantha's talent in playing guitar is only surpassed by her ability to wrap her bright, soulful voice around an existing tune or showcase her own songs. Samantha writes her own lyrics and music, and has a range of subject matter far exceeding her young years. She will be going into the recording studio very soon to record her debut CD. Until then, she has a 3 song EP available.

Most active in the local folk/blues/roots community, this versatile young artist is working to find her niche. She can rock you with her powerful vocals or move you to tears with a quiet ballad. She has a remarkable ability to connect with audience members of all ages, and steal the show. Samantha continues to hone her craft by entering talent competitions, performing at open stages around the city, and bigger events in and outside of Edmonton. Samantha is currently studying music at Berklee College in Boston, Massachusetts.

The sky is the limit for this up and coming artist!
