Since 1978 Oysterband has toured in 35 countries and made 12 studio albums. Their music is inspired by a deep-rooted love of the traditional music of Britain that dealt with integrity, passion, human experience and emotion. With some changes to the line-up the band now consists of John Jones, Alan Prosser, Chopper, Dil Davies and Ian Telfer. In 2003 they received the "Good Tradition" award at the BBC Folk Awards and in 2005 were named "Best Group."
