Hachey The Mouthpeace

Technically, Jason Hachey, is a beatboxer. However, what he does is so much more than just beatboxing. He records, loops, and creates beats as he beatboxes – in essence creating original songs each time he performs. Hachey has spent the last 13 years perfecting his signature sound of the mouth with explosive
performances transforming new listeners into life-long fans.
Hachey the MouthPEACE, based out of Hamilton, Ontario, has a mind-blowing beatbox set including heavy synths, vocoder, various vocal effects, with singing and rapping. Well rooted in the Hamilton and Toronto Music Scene.

Hachey has opened for the likes of Mos Def, Scratch of the Roots, Rahzel, Swollen Members, Killa Priest of Wu-Tang Clan, Dj Qubert and is always expanding into new music scenes across Canada. With 3 National tours under his belt, Hachey the MouthPEACE gained more national respect after winning the 2013 Much Music BeatBox championship. Has also played such renowned festivals as KOI Music Festival (Kitchener), Indie Week (Toronto), Festival Of Friends (Hamilton), Burly Calling (burlington) as well as SuperCrawl in Hamilton where he performed with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra which was picked as one of the top 10 acts by CBC.

Hachey the MouthPEACE has been featured on many albums ranging from Hip Hop to Folk, he has released his own solo EP labeled OUTSIDE the BOX in 2012, which won a Hamilton Music Award, and just finished his first solo Western Canadian Tour in the summer of 2014.
