The Worst Pop Band Ever

Blending disparate influences, mixing sax and turntables, analog synths and acoustic bass, the WPBE sounds like the ugly love child of Radiohead and Miles Davis – a peculiar but effective concoction of jazz and indie pop. " The Worst Pop Band Ever's title displays a sense of humor and frivolity, but in name only….Street wise yet substantive…would appeal to fans of Vijay Iyer, Brad Mehldau, or DJ Logic,...from start to finish Dost Thou Believeth in Science? is hip enough and deep enough for jazzers and non-jazzers alike.” (Mark J. Turner, All About Jazz, Jan. 2010).

Individually the members of the WPBE have performed with a host of Canadian greats, including Feist, the Shuffle Demons, Rich Underhill, Blue Rodeo, Brandi Disterheft and the Sultans of String. As a group they have performed everywhere from the NAC in Ottawa to NXNE in Toronto to the Wreckhouse Blues and Jazz Festival in St. John’s.
