Dave Phillips

DP has been sonically active for 30+ years, involved with 200+ releases and has played nearly 700 concerts in 50+ countries. Over 3 decades of efforts have shown DP working with the likes of Rudolf Eb.er, GX Jupitter-Larsen, The New Blockaders, Masonna, Hiroshi Hasegawa, Antoine Chessex, John Wiese, Damion Romero, Monno, Mei Zhiyong and many more...

After DP co-founded grindcore outfit FEAR OF GOD in 1987, the past 3 decades have been spent working solo, as a part of SCHIMPFLUCH-GRUPPE (since 1991 with Rudolf Eb.er), co-founding OHNE in 2000 (with Tom Smith, Daniel Löwenbrück, Reto Mäder), and organizing Atonal Zürich concert series.

"musique concrète actionniste?"

Following up "Sixth Mass Extinction", a 12" on Total Black released late-2019, DP has begun 2020 on a crushing note with "Post Homo Sapiens" CS.

DP's "humanimalism is a concept that describes a developed humanoid existence that has overcome the erroneous religious, material and supremacist phases of evolution (recognised as mistakes that anticipate learning processes), acknowledges itself as part of a whole and has grown into an empathic, conscientious & connected creature allowing emotion & instinct their equal part in decision making, moving beyond the previously dominant one-sided, reductive rational/logical/systematic/male/anthropocentric mindset, and
having balanced itself within its environment by retracing an origin, with social and environmental awareness becoming inherent sensual functions."
