Wild Rose String Quartet

Since its founding in 2008, the Wild Rose String Quartet has been active making music in and around the Edmonton area. The current lineup was established in 2009 as a collaboration of Bachelor of Music students at the University of Alberta, and from those roots developed into a versatile group experienced in music ranging from classic Mozart and Beethoven through Beatles covers and everything in between. Along the way the group has been fortunate enough to work with prominent international artists such as Dr. Guillaume Tardif, Dr. Aaron Au and renowned cellist Tanya Prochazka, as well as working in collaboration with other chamber music projects. The quartet also remains interested in entering competitions and has competed in the Alberta College Fall Festival, adjudicated by violinist Kerry DuWors.

The quartet has extensive experience playing publicly for concerts, weddings across multiple faiths, social events, and educational community outreach programs – events which have brought the group to play in such cultural fixtures of Edmonton as the Winspear Centre, Hotel Fairmont MacDonald, the Shaw Conference Centre, Convocation Hall and the Muttart Conservatory.
