The Den

Based out of Edmonton, Alberta, The Den is a five-piece band that draws influence from artists including Beach House, Half Moon Run, and Bon Iver. The group began as a creative outlet between Doug Parth (keys, guitars) and Jake Kazakoff (guitars). Soon after, they discovered Mollie Klassen (vocals, guitars). With the additions of Steph Parth (bass guitars) and Collin Robertson (drums), The Den began honing in on a sui generis sound.

In the fall of 2016, they self-released a debut four-track E.P, titled "Animal Manor". Post-release, the band has focused on crafting an intimate and seamless live set. They strive to envelop listeners in a soundscape – typified by synthy overtones, melodic vocals, ambient guitar, and a syncopated rhythm section. Notable performances include opening for Tokyo Police Club and Born Ruffians (UP+DT 2016), the Elwins, and Nuela Charles.

In January 2017, the band headed back to the studio, this time working with producer/engineer Doug Organ to record two singles to be released in early May of this year.
