The Sacred Heart Church of the First Peoples, under Father Jim Holland, and the Edmonton Columbian Choirs, under Heather Bedford-Clooney, present ‘Music of the Heart’ Dinner and Auction at St. Basil’s Cultural Centre (10819 71 Avenue) on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 6:30PM. Proceeds raised will be evenly shared between the Sacred Heart Church of the First Peoples’ Building Fund and Edmonton Columbian Choirs.
The evening will consist of dinner, silent and live auction, and performances by the Chanteuses Ladies’ Choir under the direction of Heather Bedford-Clooney.
The Church, located on 96 Street, provides shelter, opportunities, spiritual guidance and education to people in the community. It has a number of programs that give aid to troubled youth and adults and help to promote a healthy, addiction-free lifestyle. The Choirs, currently in their 47th Season, provide quality music education and performance opportunities for children and adults of all religious affiliations. Although the cost of joining the choirs is very reasonable, we sponsor anyone who cannot meet the financial commitment.
