From Hank Lionhart: Six years ago I had the idea to start the Christmas Bow fundraiser for the Edmonton Foodbank... I am so pleased that it still continues even though I now live on the island I am able to keep my hand in with organizing the event each year... Kudos to Denton Morrell and his staff at the Blues on Whyte for continuing to support this great event... Kudos to CKUA for partnering in the event as a major sponsor and thanks to the Foodbank for all their Volunteers who work the event on the day..

And a special shout out to my good friend Lynn Wells who will run the stage and sound for the event again this time around... Thanks to all the bands who have donated their time for a set at no charge so all the money raised from ticket sales and silent auction, 50/50 draws and the guitar raffle goes directly to the Edmonton Food Bank we have raised close to $9,000 and a boat load of food each of the past years and we hope to top that this year with your help and attendance...

Please bring a non-perishable food item and if you or anyone you know has an item or service to donate for the Silent Auction take it to the Blues on Whyte and give it to Denton Morrell... We have a stellar line up again this year... see the poster for details and time slots... Keep it Live!
