Celebrating a Digital Decade; GURU Digital Arts College turns TEN!
This year, GURU TURNS TEN! The “little college that could” is about to celebrate a major milestone and we would be honoured if you would join us on May 11, 2012 at the Art Gallery for our annual Gala GURU! We are excited to be part of the vibrant YEG community. We hang out on the corner of technology and the arts. If you like freaky mashups of technology and music/dance/theatre/visual media, this is the event for you.
Dance, eat, drink, schmooze, and be seen at what we've been told is the "hippest nerd party of the year!" (according to Adam Rozenhart... who is cool) We have doubled our capacity this year so no one will be left out in the cold!
This event is dedicated to all things digital media and will feature a showcase of current student and alumni work, networking opportunities with industry partners, and a chance to celebrate the exciting things to come for GURU. Most of all this is a party that you don't want to miss.
In true GURU fashion we also have a ground-breaking exhibition (top secret!) that can only be described as mind-blowingly awesome...you won't want to miss it!

By integrating a real-world approach to learning the business, skills and attitudes of the digital media industry, we quickly realized it was possible to immerse our learners in a six or ten month educational experience unlike any other school.
GURU Digital Arts College is a locally owned and operated post-secondary institution that trains the next generation of the digital media workforce, with programs in digital media production, video game design, 3D animation, and digital illustration. GURU graduates are employed all over the world in production studios, advertising agencies, and consulting companies; finding success in both the corporate and public sectors working on innovative and exciting projects.
