The Beyond the Classroom Conference hopes to provide sessions of interest and relevance to beginners, intermediates and experts both familiar with and new to the ‘Beyond the Classroom’ model. Our presenters include Gillian Kydd (co-founder of Open Minds) and site school coordinators from Edmonton, Calgary & beyond to provide a broad range of experiences. As always, there will be many opportunities to network, share and have fun!

The 2012 Beyond the Classroom Conference will be held Monday June 25 to Wednesday June 27, 2012 at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium (Meetings Level) and various Site-School Locations around Edmonton.

The conference consists of 4 sets of concurrent sessions on Monday and Tuesday, and 2 sets of concurrent site visits on Wednesday. You will be able to select your sessions for Monday and Tuesday during the on-site registration at the start of the conference. During your online registration, you will be asked to select which of the following site visits you want to participate in:

Morning Site Visit
Wednesday June 27, 2012 from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm

Afternoon Site Visit
Wednesday June 27, 2012 from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm

School at the Legislature

The registration fee is $75.00 per person, and includes a dinner at the Devonian Gardens on Monday evening (transportation will be provided). There is an optional dinner available on Tuesday evening. Registration is limited to 100 participants, so be sure to register soon and tell your colleagues so no one misses out!
