MayDay and the BeatCreeps is a high energy band with a fusion of Folk and Hip-Hop genres which we have coined Folk-Hop. As a seven-piece band of multi-instrumentalist we create many diverse sounds that please the ear. From the interesting acoustic guitar riffs, to the subtle tinklings of piano, the folky ambiance of the banjo, to the rhythmic bounce of rapping, the creative bass lines, to the sweet serenade of a female voice, the deep Hip-Hop beats of the drums, to the screams of the trumpet, this band has it all and knows how to make anyone dance!

We are an unbelievably dedicated group of proud Edmonton musicians. In the two short years since our inception we have toured Western Canada, played shows with Canadian bands such as Sam Roberts Band, The Sheepdogs and The Steadies, got radio play on CKUA and CJSR, have performed for two Sonic 102.9 Band of the Month showcases.
