Peter Polujin

Ukrainian-Argentinian guitarist, composer, conductor of orchestra and professor of guitar, Peter Polujin, is one of the first guitarist in Ukraine who began playing concerts of Classical Guitar Music. In 1974 he organized a duo with a violinist, Bogodar Kotorovich, a laureat of the "Georges Enesco" competition and the "Nicolo Paganini" competition. Peter also performed Paganini quartets, Boccherini quintets, and Vivaldi concerts for guitar and strings, with a string quartet named "M. Lisenko".

Peter collaborated with famous Symphony Orchestra Conductors like: Stepan Turchak, Vladimir Kozhuhar, Roman Koffman, Saulus Sondeskis, and many others, with whom he performed many concerts for guitar and orchestra composed by: H. Villa-lobos, M. Castelnuovo Tedesco, P. Polujin.

In 1971 he obtained a Master's Degree in Music.

In 1982 the president of Ukraine awarded him with the title "Emerit Artist of Ukraine".

In 1997 ABI (American Biographical Institute) nominated him with the title "Man of The Year - 1997" due to his overall accomplishments and contribution to the society.

In 1998, he became a member of SADAIC (Argentinean Society of Authors and Composers of Music) in the field of Symphonic and Chamber music.
