Nisto is a Cree/Métis singer-songwriter from the peace region of northern Alberta. He was raised by a musical family, which meant being surrounded by traditional Cree/Métis music from an early age. Over time he would discover the sounds of Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Neil Young, and Shooter Jennings.

At 26, he moved to the city to further pursue his music and is currently working on songs for his first full album. His sound is distinct and unique, described as nostalgic and haunting by many listeners, touching on topics such as addiction, colonialism, and life spent in a remote area. Nisto’s influences can be clearly heard in his music, resulting in a beautiful blend of blues, folk and psychedelic rock.

On July 13th 2018 Nisto released is first single, Los Sin Dios. A song based on stories of Canadian residential schools, "The Canary Effect" documentary by Robin Davey and Ricardo Ignacio's, "Los Sin Dios: A Native American War Manual". On November 2018 his song was #1 on the National Indigenous Music Countdown
