The guitarist for Sunday Evening Flamenco at the Yardbird will be Tosh Hayashi. Originally from BC and now living in Alberta, he has been playing the flamenco guitar for over 20 years. He has performed with many of Western Canada's foremost flamenco artists and has studied extensively with guitarists Harry Owen (from Victoria BC), and from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain: Juan Manuel Moneo Carrasco, Jesus "La Guardia" Agarrado, El Parilla de Jerez, and Balao. His first musical influence however, was his father, an accomplished guitarist, singer and blues and jazz connoisseur. And so, Tosh's performance in the show at the Yardbird, a top shelf jazz venue, is devoted to his father, Arnie Hayashi.
