Dave Hodson

Dave Hodson is an Edmonton based musician and singer with a music history that began in the late seventies in the new wave band Silent Movies. Since then Dave has worked with a variety of bands and was a founding member of local groups Tag and Etown. In addition to two independent releases with Etown, Dave released Symmetry in 2009 and Rule Number 65 in 2010. Influenced by a wide variety of music – from XTC, The Clash and REM, to The Jayhawks, Jack White, Bruce Cockburn and Johnny Cash – Dave treats each new musical experience with an open mind and each live performance as an opportunity to not only entertain but also to communicate with the audience. Dave’s song writing partner is Bev Hodson.... Bev Hodson began writing poetry at a very young age, moving on to short stories and as an adult expanding in to song writing and working seven years as the head writer for Canada’s oldest public broadcaster, Alberta’s CKUA Radio. Armed with the strong belief that we all have a positive contribution to make and a responsibility to challenge the status quo, Bev has chosen words as her method of choice and encourages everyone to discover their own voice – and to use it.
