Walterdale Playhouse

Read reviews of Walterdale Playhouse from Sound and Noise

Walterdale Playhouse, at 54 years old, is one of Western Canada's oldest amateur theatre groups. With the exception of a paid part-time Administrator, Walterdale Playhouse is operated entirely by volunteers with a love of theatre, members of any age and background have the unique opportunity to participate in all aspects of live theatre. We do it for love, not money.

During its 50th Anniversary, Walterdale Playhouse launched a major fundraising initiative, 50 years of Footlights, to fund both a permanent record of Walterdale's history and major renovations to preserve the current location of Walterdale Playhouse.
Walterdale Playhouse is raising significant funds to enable needed renovations and enhancements to allow us to provide an outstanding and entertaining environment for volunteers and patrons. We have recently set up online donations through CanadaHelps.org. If you would like to make a payment using a credit card or PayPal, you may use this service. We still take donations through TIX on the Square, by mail, and through our donation box located next to the concession in the theatre. Thank you to everyone who has made a contribution by volunteer hours, support and monetary means.
