Ghost Cousin

Ghost Cousin is a four-piece rock band from Edmonton, Alberta. Their sound has been described as ethereal, psychedelic, and atmospheric with elements of jazz and art-rock. Their debut full-length album, Scotland, was self-recorded in the McDougall United Church in the heart of downtown Edmonton and was released by the Old Ugly Recording Co. in August 2013. The result is a work that Discorder Magazine called “an album in the purest sense of the word, a complete song cycle that is ambient, thought-provoking, and evocative.” Ghost Cousin supported Scotland with a cross-Canada tour in September 2013, travelling from Vancouver to Halifax. They have also performed at various fundraisers, including ones for Edmonton’s Pride Centre, Solidarity Rock, and local venue Wunderbar. Ghost Cousin continues to write and perform in the city, showcasing their distinctive sound and establishing themselves as mainstays of Edmonton’s burgeoning underground music scene.

“One of Edmonton’s finest pop acts.” - Chad Brunet, Music Director at CJSR, 88.5 FM
