Panache (initially "Richard's Band") was founded in 1992 by Richard Campion. The members were brought together to play a fundraiser for the construction of the Strathcona Care Centre in Sherwood Park. The band morphed into the "Dixiecats" and played most notably for the Prairie Steam Tours out of Stettler. After acquiring the name Panache the group expanded to play for weddings, anniversaries, dances, and special events. Panache now focusses primarily on swing, dixieland and jazz standards - music from the 20th century. The seven piece band features: Clayton Braid- trumpet; Ed Bouthillier- tenor sax; Jim Jost- alto sax/clarinet; Linda Reinholdt- trombone; Mike Kischuk- tuba; Colin Bonneau - piano; and Harrison Thurgood - drums.
