Nebular Wave

Nebular Wave is the refined result of late-night jams, early morning freak outs, and mid-day improvisations. But, in the Wave of the Nebula, time has no meaning, as a result, you never grow up and you never grow old. It's far out and far in. Under the swirling Canadian northern lights of Edmonton Alberta, spacey instrumental rockers Nebular Wave record and restructure their live jams. Drums escort you through vibrating space rhythms, shimmering synthesizers surf the wave, while soaring electric guitar pierces through the nether. Influenced by 70's kraut-rock, jazz, psychedelia, drone and noise, NW's live show is captivating and hypnotic. The trio explores repetitive loops intermingled with string and keyboard harmonies. Odd time-signatures and fluctuating dynamics keep the audience engaged. Prepare to be soothed and unsettled. Somewhere in space, post-rock meets the ambient.

In 2016 Nebular Wave released their first full-length self-titled LP. The atmospheric tunes were put on steroids, and NW's energetic live show was born. In December 2019 the band's second full-length album "Chicxulub" was released through Saw-whet records, and boasts a 22-minute title track chronicling the arrival of Chicxulub; the monumental asteroid that catalyzed the rise of all mammals on Earth. NW's Chicxulub is a cosmic journey not to be missed.
